Bognor Bograts 3
Snablutch Slobber, LeBron Jambons, Chiqui Arsol
LTs Metal Heads 0
The Bognor Bograts swept aside play off chasing LTs Metal Heads with an ominous display on and off the field as the Heads had no answer against the champions elect who stretched their record to TEN straight victories.
Even with all the alert eyes around the ground waiting for the Heads pre match entertainment to arrive, this after the last rounds kidnapping by the Khemri, it proved worthless as it was useless to stop the carnage which unfolded before them, as the Bograt Ultras sabotaged the bands carriage and ruthlessly ripped the band limb from limb with passerby’s frozen in terror at what unfolded in front of their eyes.
Even Zara the Slayer was not safe from the wreckage as her injuries from the trashed carriage opened up with a nasty swipe from the clawed mutant, Berndt Haas.
The ultras were becoming as unstoppable off the park as their stars on the pitch as the rats secured a slim lead on the stroke of half time after finally breaking the stubborn resistance of their opponents with Chiqui Arsol squeaking in for the lead.
Yet again, the Bograts put on a defensive masterclass in the second half as they became the first team to stop the Heads offensive drive this season, as a quick fire defensive takeaway, after Devin Townsend was rushed as the Bograts blitzed into the backfieldas pass rush the thrower to throw his first interception of the year with Snablutch Slobber making the decisive move and set up a touchdown for debutante LeBron Jambons.
This was soon followed by another as Snablutch turned provider to goal-scorer in the final moments of the game as the Heads were reduced to prone dithering bodies strewn across the pitch - victims of another formidable display from the scurrying rats..
Up next...the reigning champion rodents take on what some say is their toughest test to date when they face EcuKhemrical Matters, while the Heads must source a new band which they hope will focus their minds on the job at hand when they face the walking corpses of the Darklands Resurrected in what promises to be a game well worth seeing as both teams battle for a play off spot.
Riska's MVP: Snablutch Slobber was everywhere on defence. His takeaway interception to set up LeBron's debut TD and scoring a second from some run-stuffing made him the standout rat.
