With three rounds remaining the race for the post season is the most tight and intriguing
that it’s ever been with 5 teams fighting for only two positions, with the reigning champion Bognor Bograts already there and with Hashutites all but sealed their place, the battle for the remaining positions will go down to the wire, here we look at the teams who’ll be looking to add their names to the post season party.
DARKLANDS RESURRECTED
The walking corpses find themselves in the dizzy heights of third in the table with only three games remaining. It's been quite a remarkable season for the undead who last season came bottom of the pile, as they did the previous season when they were living and have been one of, if not, the stand out team this season. Can they do the unthinkable
and reach the post season? OrcaLoca are sandwiched in between two massive games as they take on rivals for the top four in the Metal Heads and the end of season monster clash with Ecukhemrical Matters in the death derby.
GOLDEN ETERNALS OF CHAQUA
While the blueskins rivals have faltered, three successive draws has seen the lizards take command of a play off berth as they find themselves fourth on goal difference and with
upcoming games against the Spikerøg Draaks, then a huge game against the Bograts before finishing off against the greenskins of OrcaLoca, the Chaquans will hope their nearest rivals continue to stutter.
ECUKHEMRICAL MATTERS
The tomb kings having looked so good in the first half of the season has seen their campaign hit the buffers with two successive defeats leaving them with work to do and will have to work hard to stop the slide with Bognor Bograts up next, followed by Underearth Assassins and then to finish, the mouthwatering death derby against Darklands Resurrected. But whatever happens, the khemri on the evidence we’ve seen are a team to look out for.
LTs METAL HEADS
The heads have had an up and down season so far with defeat in the last round to the reigning champions, which is by no means a disgrace, handing them their third of the season, a tally which is what they achieved last season in making the play offs, so they know they can't afford any more slip ups if they're to make the post season for a second season running and with the Darklands Resurrected, Hashutites and a final game against the Mega Smashers replacements in goblin team Klopinklopan, the heads know they'll need to be on their game to do so in a congested race.
SPIKERØG DRAAKS
A draw in the last round of games against strugglers OrcaLoca, has seen the bare skinned norseman move within touching distance of the play off battle and lie only three points behind their rivals and face a huge game next against the Chaquans which could cement or end each others aspirations, and with Klopinklopan and Assassins to finish, many pundits argue that the Draaks have the easiest of run ins, but as we all know... there’s never an easy game in the QMLS.
