With the fixtures out today, we take a look at the big games we can expect during the up and coming season.
With the teams primed and ready, all that's missing is the 9 rounds of fixtures.
All the coaches will have an eye out, especially on who their opening opponents will be to start the campaign and with 3 new teams competing, all the ingredients are there for another all action season.
Both the Bognor Bograts and Hashutites will want to be avoided early on, as the 2 teams start the season again as hot favourites for a place in the QMLS XI final and with semi finalists the Celestial Comedy replaced with the Norse Spikerøg Daaks, the battle for the 2 remaining post season spots will surely again be full of drama.
LTs Metal Heads again will be wanting one of those places, especially after the heartbreak of an extra time defeat in the semi finals last season and are leading the race with the bookies for another return to the top 4, while OrcaLoca will again prove to be a very strong outfit and with coming so close last season with only goal difference denying them a place, the greenskins will certainly be in contention yet again.
The Golden Eternals of Chaqua are a lot of people’s dark horses for a play off spot and come into this season in terrific form after ending last season without defeat in 4 matches.
The Underearth Assassins name lay heavy on the current crop of players and are far from having an experienced squad and will surely be looking for progression more than progress into the post season, which can also be said about the Darklands Resurrected, but the undead are building a very strong squad and will be giving their opponents some serious thinking to do with many pundits expecting some surprising results.
Leaving us with the 2 final teams, the very first Khemri team EcuKhemrical Matters entering the QMLS and the ogres of Mega Smashers, whom people will know from last season, when they played in replacement for the vampire Crescent Moon and are hot favourites for on pitch casualties and no one would argue about that.
Ties to look out for...
The Chaos Cup between the Bograts and Hashutites is quite simply, grown into the biggest game in the QMLS.
The Death Match or by it's new name the Limbsbone derby this season will see the Darklands Resurrected take on EcuKhemrical Matters in a fascinating match up.
The Origins derby sees the LT Metal Heads again take on their fierce rivals OrcaLoca in what will be guaranteed a tense and close game between preseason post season contenders.
Another notable match up to look out for is the Golden Eternals and the Metal Heads, which last season, produced the game of the year and a five goal thriller.
It’s time for QMLS XI
