Darklands Resurrected 2
Marrowravager 2
Golden Eternals of Chaqua 2
Otl du Lac, Tenqtilt
Marrowravager single-handedly kept the Darklands Resurrected in the hunt for a play-off berth with a fine brace as the Lizardmen dropped points from a winning position for the second game in a row.
With the results going the way they did in the early games, both Darklands Resurrected and Golden Eternals of Chaqua knew what was on the line as they both assembled in the Farmer Maggot's Stadium.
It certainly didn’t go unnoticed by the Chaquans who, as always, brought their horde of back room staff, including a team of hundreds who’s only job it is is to make sure before kick off, that every lizard in the first team squad is clad in the cleanest, brightest and lavish of uniforms, and all because the lizards know that the game will be broadcast to the entire known world by their own personal broadcasting unit.
Though the question will never arise again of how many viewers they get, as the one and only reporter who did so ended up dissected on a golden platter as a sacrifice to the lizard gods, though witnesses said it was a lone skaven in the local street outside the stadium who never muttered a word.
But with all the foray on arrival of the Chaquans, the Darklands arrived unnoticed, but since their demise they have become something of an enigma and have never been seen enter or leave a venue. Whatever the entrance, this round of matches have turned into bowls of blood.
This game was no exception, with 5 casualties, including the death of Tom Post-Mortem for the Darklands. The fans were also treated to a high scoring spectacle with four touchdowns in a thoroughly entertaining classic as the undead and lizards shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw.
Marrowravagers first touchdown was cancelled out before the break by Otl du Lac, and Tenqtilt followed up with a quick score in the second to give the Chaquans the lead, only to be pinned back again by that super-ghoul Marrowravager.
Up next...the Chaquans along with their entourage, will polish themselves down after two frenetic games and face off against the ogres of Mega Smashers, while the Darklands, who are still in the hunt for a play off spot, take in the wounded Underearth Assassins as the battle for the post season spots intensifies for both teams.
Riska's MVP: Marrowravager, this player is a freaking of nature and on current form is almost certainly going to be involved when the leagues MVP is up for grabs at the end of the season, that’s if he lasts that long in the current climate of pure mutilation.
