All the prematch hype was that the Golden Eternals of Chaqua could well be THE team to break the monopoly of the two heavyweights of the division, only to come unstuck against a perfect performance from the dwarves which few saw in the Maggots farm venue which was a confusing location for probably the biggest game so far this season.
With the former champions receiving to start, they instantly formed a formidable but shallow offensive line in which hobo Ogedei, who’d collected the kick off, ran behind, only for the blue skinned saurus’ to face up in what turned into a full on fist fight, and among the skirmishes it saw bull centaur Bultar the Great surfed by skink Oatluax du Lac? and dwarf blocker Fharak Dyingfeet become a true star with a ferocious swipe with his claws that raked down the face of Krocyute, badly hurting the Kroxigor. But as the half unravelled, the scaly ones held firm as the battle continued on the half way line. But when the time came and in typical Hashutites style, the dwarfs countered with a brilliant play to open the door for Ogedei to run through with the lizards trying in vein to recover but Ogedei continued his run smashing through a challenge to open the scoring on the stroke half time.

After the restart, Hashutites began waiting for the Chaquans move and when it came, the defensive wall stood firm to shut the door and as the time ticked away a crowd of dwarfs had forced the Chaquans cage to the touchline, giving the diminutive skink and ball carrier Outlgorit-tlu no way through and trying in vein to break out the melee, found himself kissing the floor and the ball loose. A ball that was quickly surrounded by the dwarven blockade to see out the game. It was a true defensive masterclass by the chaotic stunties against a free scoring Eternals team in what was an impressive display.

Up next...the machine that is Hashutites match up against the undead Darklands Resurrected in an attempt to go 4-0 while the Golden Eternals of Chaqua must go again in their quest for a top four finish as they face off against the dark elf Assassins.
MVP...On this evidence and with new star Fharak Dyingfeet (who produced another 2 casualties adding to his growing list) in their ranks, Hashutites are going to take some stopping.
