Hashutites 1
Marnak Darkstabber
Spikerøg Draaks 1
Olaf Thorson
A desperate last stand at the death earned Spikerøg Draaks a vital point against seasonal veterans Hashutites in a violent spectacle. It came at great cost to the Northerners as the monstrous Yhetee, Jötunn, died to a dwarfen hammerblow, and Fenris the lycan-esque Ulfwerner, retiring to a smashed collar bone. The fallen Norsemen made a fine entrance to the Halls of Valhalla.
The Spikerøg Draaks lit up the local establishments around the Estadio Burn A Hobbo with their own brand of entertainment. Of all the teams plying their trade in the QMLS, the Norseman are revered and loathed by all, bringing beer-guzzling revenue into the local economy that offset the cost of the repairs post-match!
But of all of the fixtures, THIS was the match locals of each venue prayed they didn’t get- except the Hashutites. As Chaos Dwarfs, though warped from giving their souls to their dark master, are still dwarfs, and dwarfs like to sup on any concoction available.
The competition between the sides for mass consumption was fierce and it spilled onto the field. And the caterers on the side-line revelled as they served up their famous NorseHorse Burgers, while the chorfs brought their Minotaur steaks. What neither planned on, however, was serving the dead players of the day. Fresh off the bone!
All hell, brimstone and fire broke loose as the two set upon each other. It lived up to the brutality of all Week 5 games. An utter blood fest to delight of all fans, that was spoiled by goalscoring ventures fromo Olaf Thorson and Marnak Darkstabber.
The Draaks, however, felt the full force of their dwarfen opponent's panchant for mighty blows and were soon reduced to just 7 players. With 4 casualties and 2 deaths, one of which was their main threat, Yhetti Jötunn, the Draaks had no reponse to another onslaught.
But in a twist of fate, that proved that even dwarfs can't hold their drink, bull centaur Marnock Darkstabber was pulpable with a winning TD at his mercy. Instead of galloping in for a match winning score, he tripped over his own hooves while posing for his admirers to give the Draaks an unlikely point. None could begrudge the Norse after an impressive first half, a deserved point.
Up next. Hashutites are stumbling toward the play-offs after two successive draws, which has handed the Bograts breathing space in the race for the divisional title. Theyface up against play-off chasing EcuKhemrical Matters as the two biggest hitters in the league go head to head in a mouth watering clash. Spikerøg Draaks must patch themselves up as they face off against the greenskins of OrcaLoca where only victory will keep them in the hunt for the post season places.
Riska's MVP I must say I can't separate them, the NorseHorse Burger or the Minotaur steak? It's a tough call - but fresh Yhetee never tasted so good!
