Hashutites' new look side began the new campaign in nervy style against the power-hitters of the league, Mega Smashers. It took some favourable crowd tosses to the feet of Bultar to separate the sides.

Mega Smashers began in defence. In fear of the claw, it was the snotlings that stood on the line to absorb the mighty blows and they surprisingly held their armour together to allow the supporting cast of 6 ogres to fly into the fray.

It wasn't long for the dauntless claw dawrf, Fharlak, to make his presence felt as he ripped into the ribs of Mughead, only to recover in the sidelines as the medics patched the fallen ogre. Fharlak was a marked man.

Fharlak's early influence was telling, breaking Mughead's ribs.

Hashutites pushed down the left flank and was virtually unopposed until a meteor of fire and brimstone struck the offensive cage, injuring Fharlak in the process. With the stinging strike, Mega Smashers found a second wind and caused havoc as Kargna crushed Ogedei off the field with ball in his hands.

The home crowd showed sympathy with a huge throw from a discerning fan that landed inches from Bultar's hoof in the exposed right flank. The great bull took full advantage to run in the opener; it wouldn't be the first time tonight.

Mega Smashers continued to surprise the QMLS with their unique brand of blood bowl. Gurunk the Slaughterer hurled his titchy teammate Temn Windbreaker with ball in-hand. The snotling landed amongst dwarfen defenders but danced through the tackles only to realise that his little legs could not carry him through the finish line as Marnak caught him to deny the equaliser.

The second half saw the Mega Smashers inspired into violence, with Kargna leading the way with a fist-smashing monster hit to send Gharakk spinning to miss next weeks matchday! Farkan, fellow guarding dwarf, fell to a gouged eye from Gug Arm.

The ogres have left an indelible mark on the QMLS! Dwarfs have never suffered like this before.

Running out of dwarfs is not a common sight, and the Hashutites were heavily reliant on their enslaved hobgoblins. Brodei took the mantle of responsibility to knock loose the ball from the clutches of Temn. Gurunk took things personally and returned blows with interest, cracking Brodei's ribs only to see the ball pop off-field.

To Gurink and his teammates dismay, The home crowd once again placated Hashute to send the ball into the ground by Bultar's feet. Another pick up; another touchdown for the immense bull centaur.

Crowd favourite, Bultar, was recipient of generous throws from the home-crowd, even when napping on-field. What a stud!

The second touchdown ended any sense of a comeback and Hashutites will feel relieved to survive this savage onslaught from Mega Smashers without serious damage. Last year's Runners Up will be down a couple of dwarfs for their next game, whilst the ogres of Mega Smashers will feel embolded to wreak more damage across the league. First OrcaLoca now Hashutites have felt the brute force first-hand.

Mega Smashers have proven to be a key component to an already fascinating season.

Mango's Valuable Player: Kargna was instrumental in keeping a coherent defence against an unfavourable foe. He removed two dwarf blockers and successfully sacked a ball carrier.
