Bognor Bograts 2
Head-Lyce Creep (2)
Underearth Assassins 0
The Bognor Bograts destroyed the Underearth Assassins in a brutal second half display to claim a NINTH consecutive victory, setting a new all time record in the process.
In a game that finished with 11 casaulties, a modern QMLS record, and only 1 casualty short of the ALL TIME record which stands at 12, the Bograts took swift and brutal retaliation in the second to finish off the Assassins to walk in two unanswered defensive takeaways after being stopped for the first time offensively this season in the first.
It was systematic destruction of the dark elves, capitulated under strain, as their medics failed to deal with the influx of casualties which ended up with 8 players requiring attention and the death of their blitzer and leading scorer Mortlil.
Nobody watching could have anticipated the game to unravel as it did in the second half, after such a tight first in which the Bograts somehow failed to convert the only real opening in the final phase of the half. It was symptomatic of the Bograt's greediness, which was brutally and readily punished as they lost dangermouse Troy Pekorinho in the first half to a gang-foul that crushed his collar bone.
But the destructiveness of the second brought even winces from the crowd in the end, who ended up stunned in disbelief from the savagery on view, that was apart from a small section of Maggots Farm in which the Bograts ultras were housed as they danced and sung away which continued way into the night and are still in the midst of leaving a trail of destruction around the surrounding towns in honour of their hero’s, whom on this form will take something special to halt their charge for a second consecutive title.
Meanwhile, the whole of the Assassins squad had made their way, one way or another to the local infirmary with the exception of the coach, who was reportedly seen in the tavern next to the venue and had been since one minute after the final whistle and is still there now...alone, in a corner, lit by only a single candle.
When he meets up with his team next an observer had said, "Another trip to the infirmary might be required", as they head on to meeting the play off chasing Darklands Resurrected. The infirmaries have been warned along with the local establishments. Meanwhile the Bograts bandwagon rolls on, when they face LTs Metal Heads in a rematch of their memorable semi final game,
Riska's MVP: The Bognor Bograts entire squad. So much brutality in a single game hasn’t been seen since a “history repeating itself” semi final of Superleague III, when the Underearth Assassins were again on the receiving end when they faced the Skaven Psychos.
