Amazone Prime Deliver Surprise To End Celestial Comedy's Winning Start

Amazone Prime 1

Antiana the Awaker

Celestial Comedy 1

Upadgalad

Amazone Prime pulled off a surprise draw that kept their hopes of a top 4 finish alive, whilst blowing open the race for the Divisional Title. The score was a fair reflection as neither side could monopolise ball possession in this feisty encounter.

A bruising encounter pulled the plaudits.

The ladies from Lustria began as huge underdogs, and the QMLS organisers had to dish out a huge 250k in funds for inducements to level the playing field. Every penny was wisely used in the cause, as Amazone utilised their dodging prowess to good use in the punching game.

Antanea Camilla was the star performer as she turned in a fine show with her powerful blocking. She single-handedly removed Elven opponents at every possible turn. Indeed, the smashing of Galanthal's hip allowed the offensive drive to swing unopposed to the left flank.

Antianara the Awakener got up-close and personal for the first TD.

But the nimble defenders from Celestials wrested control away from the Amazones as they contorted their superior agility into full effect with Verdur surfing the ball carrier - Antianara the Awaker. Neither side could monopolise possession, and the ladies turned their attention to serving knuckle sandwiches to their opponents - all in the name of sport!

With no elves left standing and the ball stuck deep in Amazone territory, all that was left was a huge throw at the end of the half, which Okypous inexplicably failed to capitalise. Celestial Comedy left the field knowing that they had the explosive passing game to cause trouble and were much the happier side going into the break.

A frustrating end to the first half saw the Amazones playing dirty - 2 were sent-off for indiscretions.

What the Celestials did not bank on was the perfect defence from Prime, who mustered up the overload on their left that piled on pressure on the offense before it even began. Trouble brewed more for the skilled Elves, as Rhhosdoien fumbled his pick up to leave a gaping hole for the defence to rush in.

The Lustrian outfit capitalised on the rare mishap and took possession in a spot where they manipulated field position. Antiana atoned for her earlier ball handling misgivings and ran in the takeaway - the first time any team had scored on the Elves possession in QMLS history!

The first ever interception in QMLS history!

A shock was on the cards, however, as the shaken Celestials failed to get into their passing groove. Rhhosdoien, once again, will have questions surrounding his contribution as he saw his lofted pass intercepted in midfield by Alkinthoe - another historic moment in QMLS history!

But Amazone Prime failed to capitalise as Alkinthoe gifted possession back but falling flat from a superb tackle by Turin Nuroos. With the ball coughed up, the elves brushed aside any defenders to ensure a clear passing lane. There was to be no more mistakes from the elves, as they equalised late on with Upadgalad scoring with virtually the last touch of the game to seal a draw.

Antanea Camilla was a one woman wrecking ball.

Celestial Comedy find themselves top of the leaderboard and are set for a massive double header against fellow Divisional Title contenders, Hashutites and Bognor Bograts, whilst Amazone Prime's point keeps them in the hunt for the playoffs.

Mango's Valuable Player: Antanea Camilla was instrumental in removing opponents off the field as well as protecting Antiana for the touchdown.
